Carrie Heimer

Carrie Heimer is the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. and a member of its Executive Leadership team.    Carrie is responsible for the company’s overall human resources and talent strategy and the delivery of human resources services across the global enterprise.  

Prior to joining Redwing in 2007, Carrie held senior HR leadership roles across a broad spectrum of industries including retail, healthcare, technology and manufacturing.  Throughout her career she has been passionate about driving global talent initiatives that deliver business results and improve the employee experience. Her specialties include: Strategy and planning, organizational effectiveness, and leader/talent development.

Carrie is active in her community by serving as an Adult Mentor for Red Wing Youth Outreach  and recently completing her term on the Board of Directors (past chair) for the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties.  She was also a key member of the Goodhue County Mental Health Coalition, aimed at raising awareness and reducing the stigma associated with Mental Health issues.  Other community passions include fostering stronger linkages between business and education aimed at developing a stronger talent pipeline.

Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a Master’s of Science in Management.   Other professional memberships & affiliations include the Human Resources Executive Council and the Board of Governors for the CHRO Leadership Summit.
